Volunteer at the place you’d like to work. They’ll get to know you and you get to know the employer and the job. And if you can’t volunteer at your perfect work place, volunteer somewhere else. It’s a clear demonstration to future employers that you are keen to work in care.
Make the most of any contacts you have in the care sector. Ask them to let you know if they hear of any vacancies, or if they will pass your CV on to the person responsible for recruitment.
Be patient and committed. Your ideal job is out there, it just might take time.
