About this event
A career in caring is like no other. And it might not be the career that you imagine. Opportunities extend beyond delivering care services to roles as diverse as IT, gardening, driving, cooking, maintenance and planning – and plenty more too. Your place of work could be a nursing home, a private home or an office. Your hours can be part time or full time, occasional, seasonal or year round. You may need specific qualifications, or just the right skills and personality. You may need experience, or just a willingness to learn.
You may think you know what a career in care involves… you’ll be surprised.
What you’ll get from attending the event
A variety of the region’s care sector employers, including Caremark, Bells Homecare, Voyage Care, Brightside Homecare and Cascade Care, will be available to chat about current and upcoming vacancies and explain exactly what is involved in different roles.
They can also look at your CV, chat about your skills and interests and introduce you to roles that you might never have considered.
